Greeting from new President..

Happy Chinese Year!  We are lucky to live in a country in which we celebrate three New Years.  I see this as a reflection of Thailand faithful to its tradition and at the same time open to external influence. A new board of TMRS has been elected at the end of last year and is committed to work hard to fulfill our mission: support all those who use, generate or interpret insights to manage or launch brands or to understand trends in society. We will continue the excellent work carried out by previous boards around three priorities:
  • To increase TMRS visibility and recognition at the national and international level
  • To promote the understanding and the image of market research in Thailand
  • To promote TMRS members’ benefits and privileges
Beyond continuity there is also urgency: I believe that all researchers in Thailand are facing today a massive challenge driven by a changing technological landscape, increasing indirect competition and evolving needs of clients. TMRS will initiate a forum to discuss those risks and opportunities. The first contribution will take place during our annual meeting and will come from a prestigious speaker:  the new CEO of Unilever Thailand Khun Supattra Paopiamsap. Three hot topics will be discussed by Khun Supattra and a panel of researchers;
  • How clients and agencies can work together to adjust to the digital and mobile revolution?
  • Do we need a new model of relationship between clients and agencies?
  • What will be the profile of tomorrow’s Thai researcher?
Khun Supattra’s unique experience is spanning across research, marketing and top management. She is also a founder member of TMRS and we are very grateful that she has accepted to share her views. 3.00 – 4.30pm A talk by Khun Supattra Paopiamsap, Chairman & CEO of Unilever Thailand, with a panel of researchers on the following topics
